After 20 fabulous years in Bridal, here comes our whole new range of fashion accessories .......

After studying for a BA (Honours) fashion degree at Nottingham University I decided to cross the pond to the ‘Big Apple’ and attended the New York Fashion Institute to pursue my interest in millinery. What a fantastic and inspiring part of my life, but it was not until returning home to work in the family business,Halo & Co that my real adventure started.

The combination of being part of a dream team and the chance to contribute to the most important day of a client’s life keeps me jumping out of bed each day! The fascination lies in the new and exciting skills and techniques we apply to ensure we produce the finest possible creations.

The awards and accolades are of course wonderful but knowing that we are integral to creating a woman’s ultimate outfit keeps me continuing on this journey of discovery, which has now led us as a team to the wonderfully exciting world of fashion jewellery!

The opportunity to develop new ranges in new markets is what keeps me passionate about Halo & Co, just by providing new and existing clients with new looks year on year as fashions change. My experience over the years with how innovative the fashion industry can be is enthralling and I cannot wait to show our new range in the coming months.

My early years were spent studying jewellery design and manufacture, but I would always find myself dreaming of a life filled with the big swirling dresses in the King and I. I have to say I am a total romantic, and my family have always been involved in the creative arts with my Mother being a floral artist, and a family history of tailoring. I suppose it was fate that i would become involved in the bridal industry.

Twenty years ago the fashion within bridal headwear consisted of huge floral circlets and haberdashery dangles! Not a look that was in my head for brides! so I began to create a range that encapsulated what I thought should be accessible for all, the tiara. I formed the company Halo and Co and my first collection was of jewelled headwear and tiaras - Some say it was Halo and Co that changed the fashion within bridal accessories forever!

My journey continued, working every minute of the day to ensure we provide the best product and the very best quality, something that we continue with today. I am blessed to work along side my sister who I now design with and I can say what I do is my dream come true.

Recently Halo & Co’s move into fashion jewellery has taken me back to my early days in the industry and in many ways has me remembering why I joined the industry in the first place. My original ideas were to have the knowledge and expertise to design special pieces that could be used on a day to day basis, working with so many different outfits.

Now we are creating our new fashion accessory range, we see ourselves designing innovative, unique and fabulous jewellery for a whole new customer base, exciting times ahead.
