I am quite possibly the biggest fan of a scrunchies . I wear scrunchies all the time. Why, you ask? Because they’re the best in every possible way. They can take a bad hair day and instantly turn it into a good hair day with very little effort. The scrunchie is often scoffed at for being childish or outdated but not anymore with A listers and glossies getting on board with the trend I bet I can change your mind and convert you to the scrunchie lifestyle by the time you finish reading!

Ok so here are a few of the best bits, Scrunchies don't give you headaches. They also don't rip out your hair like hair elastic can, and they're way less likely to cause breakage. ... Put your hair half up, half down with a scrunchie the ways to wear them are endless.

According to wikipedia The Scrunchie was invented by Philips E. Meyers in 1963[3] but was not patented until 1987 by Ronny Revson, who named the decorative hair accessory the Scunci after her pet toy poodle[4]. The name Scrunchie was a natural evolution, because the fabric scrunched up. After patenting the Scrunchie, Revson spent most of her time in legal disputes, both with manufacturers and her own lawyers[5]. Scrunchies were particularly popular in the 1980s and 1990s, including larger, more elaborate versions. Scrunchies regained popularity in the mid 2010s.[6] Debbie Gibson in particular wore them; Madonna wore a large velvet scrunchie in Desperately Seeking Susan.[7] An episode of Sex and the City mocked the fashion.

So where are we now with this hair accessory? Well they have showed up all over our Instagrams. Today it's all about the oversize scrunchies. Billowy scrunchies have been seen on the wrists and ponytails of fashion girls all around the globe.

Spotlight on

Let me introduce you to one of our bridal stockists Morgan Davies, founded over 27 years ago. Offering two destinations of luxurious award-winning boutiques in Hertfordshire and Islington.

For us, there is nothing better than a bridal store who works closely with us and the bride to ensure they have the best accessories to offer. Obviously we are biased (LOL) but here at Halo & Co, we feel that the right accessories can make or break the bride's outfit.

We know Morgan Davies listen to us and want to ensure their brides have the right selection in-store to choose from. We all work closely together as a team to ensure everyone involved has the product knowledge, how to fit and style advice for each season so that brides can be ensured of the best possible service. Let’s face it, it has to be better getting the whole look from the bridal store where you can try everything on together and have one team organizing all the separate elements together.

An experienced bridal consultant will know their stuff. The Morgan Davies team travel the globe sourcing and picking up new trends and ideas. It's more than just the dress they are seeing from attending fashion shows etc, they know what hairstyles, makeup looks, veils, accessories are in fashion and what works with what. Their dress labels are second to none and included the following prestigious international brands.

The great news is that even if you haven't purchased your dress from Morgan Davies then don't fret!! You can still book for an accessory appointment and even have them make you a bespoke veil! They have a great selection of New Halo & Co products arriving really soon, check out below a few pieces you can expect to see in store.

It's been a crazy ride with plenty of "Zig-a-zig-ah" at Halo & Co Head quarters!! as we began to design accessories for the SpiceWord 2019 tour.

The whole process was a whirlwind of planning, designing, creating, altering, fittings and very late nights!" "We worked with Geri on her accessories for her Olympic Performance and knew that this was going to be even bigger and better!!

Halo & Co were asked to produce items for the Spice girls which lets face it must be anyone’s dream job and to think of the size stadiums the girls were to perform in and the sheer numbers of worldwide fans added slightly more stress and pressure on us to make sure that everything we produced would stand up to massive visual requirements.

Using the finest Swarovski crystals, we began on Geri's opening act crown, which is still one of my personal favorites, and even though it was only revealed last night the phone and requests have been flooding in. We have now started to take pre-orders for the piece (for more information on owing your very own crown contact

Working with Gabrielle Slade, Costume Designer, was an inspiration and we totally fell in love with the concepts of each Spice Girl having a house style to work to. Knowing Geri, and her love of headpieces we knew that we would need to create the best crown possible for the ultimate Pop Princess!

To see all four Spice Girls, (Geri Halliwell, Mel B, Mel C, Emma Bunton) wearing Halo & Co on their sold-out tour is amazing, after designing headpieces, jewelry and adornments for the girl’s outfits we loved every minute!! Seeing the opening and closing acts Sparkle away adorned by Halo & Co did bring a tear to our eyes!!

We know you all have your favourite spice girl!! So we will do a special blog dedicated to each one in the next few days. Promise!!

So for now just continue to Spice up your life in anyway you can!!
